To further strengthen the cultural-ideological development of the industrial workforce and ensure trade-union services reach grass-roots employees without barriers, the well-curated event Splendid Shushan · Craftsmanship Forges Dreams-a grassroots performance tour paired with the “Model-Worker-Craftsman Enterprise Outreach” spirit keynote session, co-organized by Shushan Sub-district Federation of Trade Unions and Hangzhou Zhengqiang , kicked off on the plaza of Zhengqiang’s new plant at 18:30 on September 6, 2026.
The event opened with a keynote session themed on the spirit of model workers and master craftsmen. Yang Zhaojin, a Hangzhou Model Worker with decades of industry experience, was invited to deliver a speech entitled Stay True to Our Original Aspiration at Posts, Shoulder Responsibilities through Meticulous Craftsmanship. Drawing on his personal journey from a front-line maintenance technician to a technical leader, he recounted real-life stories of overcoming technical bottlenecks and leading his team to complete production-line upgrades over the years.

Many young employees in attendance commented that his presentation bridged the perceived gap between ordinary staff and “model workers”, allowing them to truly grasp the core of craftsmanship: “Extraordinary achievement comes from excelling at ordinary work”. Warm, sustained applause echoed through the venue on multiple occasions.
Following the keynote, a series of well-rehearsed artistic performances took the stage, featuring traditional folk arts, modern song-and-dance shows, intangible-cultural-heritage acts and more.
The opening group dance Charming Surge ignited the atmosphere with powerful choreography, whose dynamic moves mirrored the enterprising spirit of industrial workers.

Energetic vocal medley Classic Hits presented a string of familiar pop numbers, with many staff singing along to the melodies.


Sichuan Opera Modern-Style Face-Changing blended traditional intangible-cultural-heritage skills with contemporary lighting and sound effects. The breathtaking instant mask transformations drew gasps of amazement from the crowd.


Acrobatics Strength & Beauty and modern acrobatic piece Balance Mastery demonstrated the perfect integration of physical power and artistry through demanding body-control feats.


Classical group dance Beginning of Spring conveyed the poetic vision of nature reviving and thriving with elegant movements.


Crosstalk Joyful Laughter amused the audience with workplace-themed sketches.


Magic show Ever-Changing Wonders kept employees riveted throughout the performance.


Subsequent highlights included song-and-dance piece New Lasso Pole and a suona solo. These highly expressive ethnic performances won rounds of cheers.


The closing group dance March Forward, with its uplifting choreography, echoed the event theme “Forge dreams with craftsmanship, march forward hand-in-hand”, bringing the full show to a fulfilling conclusion.


Nearly two hours long, the performance proceeded in good order amid constant enthusiasm. Numerous employees captured highlights with their mobile phones, and kept discussing their favourite acts after the show. 
This event enriched spare-time cultural life for front-line workers with high-quality artistic programmes. Meanwhile, real-world stories from local model workers spread the power of craftsmanship, inspiring staff to devote themselves to their roles with dedication and meticulous workmanship. The activity has received widespread positive feedback from all employees.
